Finca Xaconero or “The lands of the January ponds”. The first documents that refer to cultivation on our estates date back to the 16th century.

The documents tell how it rained so much during the months of September and October then, the land retained the water until January, hence the name. “The lands of the January Ponds”.

Description

SPECIFICATIONS:

Landscape Wine: It is a selection of vineyards within a certain landscape which helps us to express the best of it. Its unique character. The landscape is the main character, with its vines, its soils, and its history.
Variety: Monastrell 100% globet-pruned vines from our vineyards located on the slope of “Cabezo de la Virgen” in Villena.
Vinification: To obtain the full potential of fresh fruit and the best expression of the Monastrell variety, the grapes are hand-harvested in boxes, destemmed and the whole grain enter by conveyer into small stainless steel, where fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature.

Due to its artisanal production, it may have natural sediments with age.

This wine, made with the queen variety of the Mediterranean, the Monastrell, which reflects the character of our mountains, our weather and our sun.
Certification: European certificated V-Level wine by the Spanish Vegetarian Union as a VEGAN wine. In the process of this wine, no materials of animal origin or derivatives thereof have been used.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:

Medium layer wine. Garnet red color.

In the olfactory phase it is fresh, with aromas of red fruits and hints of rockrose flower, lavender and rosemary. Finally, spicy aromas, toasted bread, coffee and balsamic aromas appear.

In the mouth its freshness and balance stand out. It has sweet and friendly tannins. Medium and harmonious aftertaste, returning to the memory of red fruits and spices.
