Santa Rosa was born due to the restlessness of our family towards vine growing, manufacture and aging of the wine.
With this wine we want to commemorate the person who transmitted the passion towards the world of wine, in this case Mrs Rosa Cortes Devesa, mother of the actual and the one and only founder Mr Enrique Mendoza Cortés.

Description

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Landscape Wine: It is a selection of vineyards within a certain landscape which helps us to express the best of it. Its unique character. The landscape is the main character, with its vines, its soils, and its history.
  • Varieties: This assembly (Monastrell, Cabernet, Merlot and Shiraz) has been made with grapes selected from our vineyard “Finca el Chaconero” in Villena.
  • Vinification: To obtain the best qualities of each variety, and all the potential of the fresh fruit, the grapes are hand- harvested in small boxes. Every plot is vinificated separed in small tank with the whole grain at 25ºC, to make the coupage of the wine at the end of the process.

  • Certification: European certificated V-Level wine by the Spanish Vegetarian Union as a VEGAN wine. In the process of this wine, no materials of animal origin or derivatives thereof have been used.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:

Medium layer wine. Intense ruby red color with garnet flashes.

In the olfactory phase is elegant, with hints of blackcurrant and plumbs. These aromas are intertwined with notes of spices such as nutmeg, vanilla, flower notes as lavender and violets and the freshness of the Mediterranean rosemary and thyme.

In the mouth it is a very balanced wine, combining power and elegance with a polished and pleasant tannic load. The aftertaste is broad and harmonious, with notes of fresh fruits and spices.
