Finca Xaconero or “The lands of the January ponds”. The first documents that refer to cultivation on our estates date back to the 16th century.
The documents tell how it rained so much during the months of September and October then, the land retained the water until January, hence the name. “The lands of the January Ponds”.
Variety: Monastrell 100% globet-pruned vines from our vineyards located on the slope of “Cabezo de la Virgen” in Villena.
Due to its artisanal production, it may have natural sediments with age.
This wine, made with the queen variety of the Mediterranean, the Monastrell, which reflects the character of our mountains, our weather and our sun.
Medium-bodied wine. Garnet red color.
In the olfactory phase it is fresh and expressive, with aromas of red fruits and subtle hints of undergrowth. As it opens in the glass, spicy notes emerge, along with hint of toasted bread, coffee, toffee and a balsamic background.
In the mouth is well- balanced and fresh.It has sweet and friendly tannins. Medium aftertaste, leaving harmonious impression where red fruits and spices appear.
