FIELD HISTORIES
Walking through our “Estrecho de Pipa” plot, we discover horseshoes of different sizes and shapes, silent witnesses of those who have worked these lands over time.
This plot stands out for its atypical planting layout, set at 220 x 220 cm, whereas the usual spacing in the Alicante area is 250 x 250 cm.
It seems that the farmer who designed it may have thought that mechanization might never arrive, and that we would always remain connected to that animal world which made life in these vineyards possible: horses, donkeys, and mules that accompanied generations of farmers.
These findings remind us that our finca is alive and full of stories, and that every wine born in El Chaconero carries with it a trace of those footprints and of that tradition that travels through time.
